Since I was selected as Oklahoma's 2016 Teacher of the Year and Finalist for National Teacher of the Year, I've completed over 80 speaking engagements. My most popular presentation is "From New Teacher to Teacher of the Year" in which I discuss my journey from new teacher to the present and choosing to stay positive. The primary goal with my presentation is to boost teacher morale and introduce educators to the Teach Like Me Campaign.
I've also provided professional development with my presentation "The Blended Classroom for Struggling Learners". In it, I introduce educators to a flipped/blended classroom model of instruction and discuss the success my colleagues and I have seen since we implemented it at Norman High School. While my session focuses on math instruction, I've presented to elementary through high school educators and they have found ways to adapt our work to their classrooms.
After running for Oklahoma State Senate in 2016, I was featured in multiple articles, podcasts, and interviews. I invite you to check them out below!
