I am a high school assistant principal in Lewisville, Texas. In 2018, I was an Einstein Fellow on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. Before moving to Texas, I taught special education and ELL high school math in Norman, Oklahoma where I was also selected as the 2016 Oklahoma Teacher of the Year and National Teacher of the Year Finalist. I earned my B.A. in Journalism at Arizona State University and M.Ed. in Special Education at the University of Oklahoma. I am also the co-host of The Teachers Caucus Podcast. As a strong advocate for public education, I have been featured on CBS This Morning, NPR, and The Economist. [read more]
